Bond Premium Rates

The premium cost is based on a percentage of the contract amount for most bonds. This rate is determined by several factors: bond size, contractor's experience, contractor's financial condition, length of job and type of bond. Some factors will add to the base rate such as projects longer than one year and multiple obliges.
